The change in the mechanism for accreditation of educational study programs presents challenges for universities. This prompted the Indonesian Elementary School Teacher Education Lecturer Association (PGSD) Region I to conduct Technical Guidance for the Accreditation of the Independent Educational Accreditation Institute (LAMDIK). In the offline schedule, which was held from Thursday (2/6) to Saturday (4/6), the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was appointed as the host.

Welcoming the participants, Vice Chancellor I UMM Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin M.Si. I considered this technical guidance essential, especially with increasingly complex challenges. One of them is looking at universities, institutions, and study programs that are busy adjusting to several existing regulations.

"If you look at it, there have been a series of changes made by the government regarding education. Even so, I am sure that the PGSD study programs of each university will continue to look to the future. Besides that, it also strengthens the commitment to make all PGSD study programs carry Superior accreditation," added Syamsul.

Whatever the challenges, he believes that the PGSD Lecturer Association can encourage each study program to do its best. That way, we will realize a quality gold generation in 2045.

Dr. Widya Karmila Sari agreed on it as chairman of the Indonesian PGSD Lecturer Association (HDPGSD). Her party has presented a series of presenters who will further explain changes to the accreditation system to review the Regulation of the Independent Educational Accreditation Institution Number 24 of 2022.

She emphasized that HDPGSD has the main principle of advancing together following the initial idea of its establishment. Does not distinguish between state universities (PTN) and private universities (PTS). Especially considering that accreditation is one of the considerations for prospective students to choose majors and universities.

"Hopefully, this workshop and technical guidance can encourage friends to advance study programs. She said that we hope that we can mutually help each other achieve superior accreditation," she said.

On the agenda, also present as a speaker is Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani, M.Pd., which explains changes in the accreditation mechanism and LAMDIK policies. Likewise, Dr. Wahyudi, M.Pd. Which, describes the implementation of the PGSD Study Program Quality Culture through the LAMDIK Accreditation. The technical guidance also provides material on document filing strategies, instrument surgery, and the LAMDIK accreditation assessment matrix.

On the other hand, Implementing Coordinator Arina Restian, M.Pd., said they could produce several outcomes through this technical guidance. Among other things, the participants are expected to be able to arrange accreditation independently. That way, it can positively impact the system that is run. In addition, it is also an effort to give birth to the golden generation of 2045.

"At least the participants are ready and understand the changes to the existing accreditation system. So that later it will not be confused to take steps to achieve superior accreditation in each PGSD study program in each university," concluded the PGSD lecturer at UMM. (apg/Will)
