After successfully enlivening the opening of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah in Solo, this time the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again presented a Sky Show and marching band at the 16th Regional Conference (Musywil) Muhammadiyah’s East Java. This grand activity of East Java Muhammadiyah took place at Ponorogo Field on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
The Sky Show using a paramotor was initiated by the UMM White Campus in collaboration with the regional conference committee and Iswahjudi air base. Head of Information and Communication Bureau, Ir. Suyatno, M.Sc., explained that UMM sent two paramotors carrying the UMM flag and the Muhammadiyah logo for the nation on this occasion.

“For the preparation itself, we did it in a short time. Even though there were several obstacles, such as wind direction and flight locations, which were not conducive, we could handle them well. Moreover, we often deal with activities like this, like the previous Sky Show," said the lecturer from Rembang.
Apart from the sky show, he also prepared a marching band in collaboration with the UMM Student Activity Unit (UKM). Yatno, as he was called, again explained that the presence of the two appearances was meant to enliven the East Java regional conference. Apart from that, it also adds energy to Muhammadiyah members so that they continue to spread benefits.
"Hopefully, the sky show and marching band we are holding can give a new color to the East Java Muhamamdiyah regional conference activities. So that the excitement of the regional conference is not inferior to the liveliness of the congress (Muktamar) in Solo," said the lecturer in Animal Husbandry Biotechnology.

On the other hand, a member of Aisyiyah from Ponorogo named Endah said that the entertainment of the Sky Show and marching band held by UMM was outstanding. Especially with the cohesiveness shown along with the songs that are played. According to her, this appearance made her and other Muhammadiyah colleagues even more excited to welcome and carry out the regional conference.
"I am happy to see the unity of the marching band players from UMM. For the regional conference itself, hopefully, it can produce the best decision for us Muhammadiyah members in East Java. It can also provide benefits and kindness to all East Java people in various elements," she concluded the statement. (tar/syi/wil)
