In the current democracy, human rights (HAM), tolerance, pluralism, and relations between groups, nations and states. However, students can no longer escape. They must always be introspective so as not to get carried away and become objects of multiculturalism.

He added that this is also the era of the digital and information revolution which provides convenience and speed. Even so, if you are not careful, young people will become objects and fall into a bad life. “This can happen because of the lack of mastery of science and technology based on science, ethics and values. So we need to improve ourselves to master it well," he said.

Haedar also mentioned that this era has also become the era of social media as a consequence of the digital revolution. In addition to the benefits, he also mentioned various bad effects such as hoaxes, hatred, slacking and others. "In addition to being successful in learning, you must also have noble, intelligent, knowledgeable and high-quality character and be a useful person in order to be able to face the three eras," said Haedar.

Then the Rector of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. at the opening of Pesmaba said that this event was a sacred event to welcome the new family of the White Campus. He did not forget to congratulate the freshmen for being able to continue their studies and making the right choice to UMM.

Fauzan considered that when he stepped on the predicate of a student, there would be various responsibilities that must be done. Even by providing various contributions and benefits for the homeland and nation. "UMM has a motto that is constantly echoed, namely From Muhammadiyah for the Nation. Therefore, you have no other choice but to forge and prepare yourself to become future leaders,” he stressed.

Furthermore, Fauzan also advised new students to become campus activists. He narrated, studying is not only enough to pursue grades but also to be active in various activities. So that they are able to get the values of life and can become a scholar of the nation's hope.

The fast changing times due to Covid-19 was mentioned by the Rector Fauzan. This situation can be a great opportunity to establish a milestone.
