Another proud news came from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). This time, the UMM Informatics Study Program (Prodi) student team managed to win second place in the national web and mobile application competition. Who won the winner in the 2021 National Student Creativity Competition (LO Kreatif) event held by the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) and the Region VII Higher Education Service Institute in East Java. Since September, the winners' announcement was announced last Tuesday (30/11).

Mochamad Alghifary, as the team leader, explained that this idea started from his worries about education lately. The Covid-19 pandemic that has not subsided and education is still limited hampers the learning of the Quran Education Park (TPQ). In fact, according to him, the online learning process does not have a massive effect like offline learning.

"Seeing that, my team and I finally decided to design an application that we call AJARI: Learn Iqra. This application is expected to help the TPQ learning process and the Koran," he said.

Ghifary, his nickname, explained that this application has the concept of e-learning and multimodal earning. Multimodal learning is a learning concept that references four main aspects. The four aspects are visual, audio, reading and writing, and kinesthetic.

"The kinesthetic is a system that allows applications to have the ability to process information through movement," he explained.

Technically, the use of this application will be used by two users. First, namely students or students. Then there is also the second party, namely the teacher or ustad. The students will later get Iqra learning, both by video call and the material provided. Meanwhile, educators can directly monitor their progress through the applications and features provided.

Ghifary is not alone. He was accompanied by three friends in the competition, namely Nur Syahfei, Hananda Gagas, and Iskandar Sholeh. The four of them are informatics students who are members of one team.

They want the application that has been designed to continue to the next stage of development. Able to provide new systems and features to assist application-based TPQ learning.

We will probably launch this application on the Playstore next week. Hopefully, it can be used soon and get a good response later, "he concluded. (apg/haq/wil)
