PPG UMM Students Win the National Learning Video Competition

University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) student made another achievement. Lately, Intan Tristanti, a student of the Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). She got the first rank in the national level learning video competition. The competition was held by the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) which was held from May to June 2021.

 

Before Participating, Intan had a dilemma considering that the agenda was her first opportunity to participate in such a competition. She felt not confident about her video. However, thanks to the support of various parties, she finally gained encouragement and was determined to compete with other participants. Until finally she succeeded and won the championship with pride.

This Blitar-born student explained that the themes she raised in his video were interviews and the environment. In the video, she explains how to conduct a good and correct interview. Not only interviews, but also a way of communicating with other social communities. Especially those in the immediate environment. "I also explained material related to the relationship between humans and the environment because we often forget about it," she said.

 

She also extended that she also included student learning outcomes. This is inseparable from the video requirements that must be met by the participants. The inclusion of the learning outcomes of these students was also one of the factors that Intan finally won. “As far as I know, there are some participants who may not have time to include these requirements, thereby reducing the value. Thank God I have included it in the video I sent," she said.

After winning, she hopes that the online learning process will be more creative and innovative in the future. One of them can use educational learning videos. Even with assignments in the form of practice in order to be able to explore the potential of each student. Intan also hopes that the new prospective teacher will not give up easily and get tired of learning new things. “Always believe in your own abilities. This cannot be separated from the role of teachers who will be required to be versatile in educating the nation's future generations," she concluded in an interview session. (haq/wil)
