Legally, there are four kinds of violence the law. Starting from sexual violence, economic violence, psychological violence, and physical violence. Currently, sexual violence is a problem that must be prevented, considering the many cases that have occurred, both outside and inside campuses. Dr. Sidik Sunaryo said this, SH., M.Sc., M.Hum, as Vice Rector IV of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in his speech at the Academic Advisors Workshop. This event aims to strengthen the younger generation to be free from spiritual-based sexual and emotional violence. The agenda held on November 26 also attempted to make the campus shine.

Sidik explained that prevention of sexual violence is a must. The word 'prevented' in legal language means eliminating various factors that sparked an incident. According to him, much effort and thought are needed to eliminate these factors. Moreover, in sexual violence, the elements are not always the same.

It is stated in the law that sexual violence is not only physical but also non-physical. So, he hoped that the lecturers who participated in the workshop could become protectors for their students. "Forums like this should be held regularly so that lecturers know what factors can lead to sexual violence," added the UMM Law Faculty lecturer.

On the other hand, one of the presenters, Komariah, SH., M.Sc., M.Hum. said that this workshop was a provision for every lecturer in each study program in preventing sexual violence. One effort can be made to increase public legal awareness in Indonesia. Including respectful behaviour and obedience to the favourable laws that apply.

"This awareness can also be channeled by lecturers to students so that the number of cases of sexual violence can be eliminated," he stressed.

According to Komariah, the current problem of sexual violence is not only the perpetrator's factor but also the victim's factor. It can be seen from the many cases that occurred because they first liked each other. Komariah believes that young people's understanding of sex, religion, and law is still lacking. This has resulted in many young people being quickly carried away by lust until it ends in acts of sexual violence that should not have happened.

"Therefore, lecturers and study programs must be alert and always equip their students with moral, religious, legal understandings, and sex education for their students," said one of the UMM Daily Guidance Board (BPH).

It was not much different from what was conveyed by another speaker, Dr. Khozin, M.Si. He said Muhammadiyah members had to carry it out by Muhammadiyah Beliefs and Aspirations (MKCH). Even with a commitment to fight against all forms of violence. One way to do this is to form an institution that handles it at every university.

"Muhammadiyah will always be committed to fighting sexual violence because actually sexual violence is part of persecuting fellow creatures of Allah SWT," he explained.

On the other hand, Dr. Vina Salviana Darvina Soedarwo, M.Si. as, Deputy Head of PCA UMM said, Aisyiyah was present as a modern women's organization with its theological movement. Including trying to prepare the nation's creation, especially women, to lead the country in the future.

She sees students' moral crisis and spiritual awareness as the most critical factors that must be faced. "So, this workshop presents various speakers to equip the teachers on campus so that they can be transferred to students and eliminate cases of sexual violence," she concluded. (cdr/haq/wil)
