Festive, Bulan Sutena Successfully Closes UMM Pesmaba 2022

The Dome of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) rumbled when Bulan Sutena went up and sang on the stage to close the 2022 UMM Pesmaba last Thursday (15/9). As many as 7500 new students from various faculties sang and enlivened until the end.

There are ten song titles that Bulan sings. One of them is the UMM PASTI song, which is the motto of UMM to ensure that students graduate in 3.5-4 years. Even with the certainty of being an independent person and getting a job in a short time.

After the gig, Bulan admitted that the atmosphere at UMM Dome was inspiring. The students looked excited and ready to face lectures at UMM White Campus. She acknowledged that Pesmaba UMM was the first time for him to perform in front of thousands of spectators.

"It was a pleasure to visit and perform here. For new students of UMM, continue to be enthusiastic about studying, study hard, and reduce truancy. I hope you can achieve your dreams," said Bulan.

On the other hand, the Head of Public Relations of UMM White Campus, M. Isnaini, M.Pd., explained that the Bulan Sutena was deliberately presented in this Pesmaba. According to him, the figure of a musician like Bulan Sutena can provide positive motivation for UMM Generation Z students. Moreover, she is among the TikTok icons many young people love today.

Interestingly, Krisna, his nickname, admitted that it would prepare another surprise for new students. "Of course, other events welcome the arrival of new students so that they are ready to study well at the White Campus. Just wait. The surprise we have prepared will not be long," said the lecturer from Lombok.

Happy faces also radiated from UMM's new students. One of them is Meri Fadlianti. She felt proud to be able to study at UMM, especially with such an enthusiastic welcome. According to him, every series of Pesmaba is fun. Even though she has to leave early every day, through this schedule, she can get to know many new friends and seniors who will help in her studies later.

"The guest stars who were invited were also cool. I admire Rhenald Kasali and his innovations and works. In the end, Bulan Sutena was entertaining with a series of songs that were performed," the student majoring in management ended. (apg/wil)
