University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is one of the universities that can be used as an example. How the simplicity of the figures in running the institution amid the existing luxury and splendor. This was conveyed by the Head of the Jakarta Islamic Da'wah Coordination (KODI) Jamaluddin Hasyim during his visit with the participants of the Mubaligh Cadre Education (PKM) program to UMM last Wednesday (21 /).

Furthermore, Hasyim explained that one of the goals of his entourage's arrival was to broaden their horizons and learn. Moreover, UMM is a university that has advanced and modern management. The visit was also part of a series of PKM study orientations.

Hasyim also explained the situation of Islamic education in the global order. According to him, campuses and research institutions managed by Islam are still unable to compete with other parties. There are not many Nobel laureates who are Muslims.

"But not with UMM, which is part of Muhammadiyah. Both quality and quantity prove that this campus can compete in the global order. Hopefully, this gathering can provide new inspiration and insights for the common good," he said.

In his explanation, the Chancellor of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., tells the journey of the White Campus, which was once part of the Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta. Then it became UMM and continued to be developed. How is the process from a small campus to a big campus like now. It even got the title of the World's Best Islamic Campus from Unirank last year.

"In its journey, the UMM academic community always instills a message from Mr. Malik Fadjar that it is okay to be poor in wealth but not lacking in ideals. Even with simplicity which is the primary weapon in the struggle to get the dream that you aspire to, "he said.

According to him, to become big requires a correct and lengthy process. Unfortunately, most people still think instantaneously to achieve something. The process is a real education. He emphasized that many ibroh can be taken from each method.

Fauzan also emphasized that Muslims must be able to bring Islam to the middle and even upper regions. Islam has long been a marginalized area. "UMM has developed a program called the Center for Future of Work (CFW). This program is expected to give birth to a superior generation who can maximize the demographic bonus and play a role in Indonesia gold 2045.
