The industrial world currently has a significant role in the availability of job opportunities for the people of Indonesia. Especially for undergraduate graduates who already know various fields. Seeing this, the Aquaculture Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), partnered with PT. Centra Proteina Prima (CP Prima) to hold a Socialization and Recruitment of Aquaculture Technicians. This activity was held on Tuesday (5/4) at the UMM BAU Hall.

Firmansyah as a team from PT. CP Prima provides an overview that the price of shrimp for the past two years has been at the regular price. According to him, shrimp ponds have an enormous potential for profit in the future. Moreover, seeing the shrimp business during the pandemic can survive very well.

The availability of human resources (HR) in this field is felt to be lacking. They also felt the same way. In fact, for the past 20 years, CP Prima has carried out pond training and recruitment with a target of 350 qualified technicians by 2022. Then it will increase to 1000 technicians in the next three years.

Although needed, many think that the pond technician is just a trivial job. Even though the field requires patience and an attitude of being dissatisfied with learning, technicians can also produce maximum results, especially in the shrimp sector.

"Hopefully, the target of 1000 technicians can be accelerated and can be realized this year. These pond technicians also have the potential to become entrepreneurs in the shrimp field. So, I think this collaboration will benefit many parties," he said.

Moreover, seeing the coming of 2045 which will bring Indonesia gold. So the preparation of qualified human resources needs to be considered. Therefore, White Campus presents a Center of Excellence (CoE) or particular program to contribute to preparing related matters.

"One of the superior classes that have been opened is the Shrimp School. I certainly hope that this collaboration can provide the best quality human resources to create a prosperous Indonesia," he concluded. (apg/haq/wil)
