Maintaining excellent grades while participating in and winning competitions is not easy. Especially if you have to memorize the Qur'an up to 30 juz, this is what Anna Ashry Savirah, a student of the English study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), felt and experienced. He was successfully named the best graduate of the White Campus, thanks to her academic and non-academic achievements.

Anna admits that memorizing the Qur'an is an activity she has never left since she was in junior high school. By the way, she had learned eight chapters when he entered UMM. Then he continued his memorization online with one of his mentors while studying until he reached 30 juz.

"Every day, at least I can memorize one to three sheets. I have to make time in between lectures for muroja'ah and memorizing. Alhamdulillah, I was strengthened, and finally, I was able to memorize 30 juz, and at the same time, I was able to get the title as the best graduate of UMM in this period," she added.

Apart from being a successful hafizah, Anna has also won several championships. One of them was the champion of three national karate teams. From the beginning, Anna was fond of self-defense activities. She is also a member of the Karateka White Campus Student Activity Unit and Student Activity Unit (UKM). "In addition to filling time, in my opinion, karate can relieve stress after a busy day," said the graduate from Tenggarong.

Anna did not escape from obstacles and problems despite the many achievements and successes achieved. She had wanted to quit college because he felt he could not do the thesis. She even conveyed his intentions to his parents. Luckily, her parents continued to motivate Anna to continue her studies and become a scholar. Interestingly, he was even able to graduate in a reasonably short time of 3.5 years.

"I used to want to quit college because I couldn't continue my thesis. Maybe because of the prayers and encouragement of my parents, in the end, I was able to finish faster than expected. Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful," said Anna.

He also conveyed the primary key to excel and balanced time: arranging a daily schedule. Before doing activities, Anna always writes down what things she will do in a day, what targets must be achieved, prioritize activities. That way, he can complete it correctly according to the estimated time and energy.

"In addition, instilling not to be lazy has an important role in success. Don't keep comparing yourself to others because it will never end. Our biggest competitor is ourselves. We need to think about and find a way to become a better person than yesterday," concluded the fifth child of seven siblings. (cdr/wil)
