Followed by 60 guidance and counseling teachers (BK) throughout Malang, the Head of PMB UMM Nurudin expressed his gratitude for the BK teachers' presence to participate in the training. He explained that at UMM, a similar program had been provided for victims named Trauma Support Mobility.

"I think you are indeed at the forefront of providing peace for school students traumatized by the tragedy. So, hopefully, this training can be helpful and have a positive impact and be practiced in their respective schools, "he explained.

Meanwhile, trauma is an event that threatens personal safety and integrity. The cause can be bullying, sexual harassment, demonstrations, accidents, disasters, and others.

“Once experiencing trauma, a person must experience post-traumatic stress (PTS) or the early stages of trauma. There are two types of traumas, and the first is that those who experience it directly are called primary PTS. Then the second type, namely those who do not experience the incident directly, either through hearing or seeing. Many friends experience this second type,” he added.

Furthermore, Salis explained that if trauma affects activities, it can be said as an acute stress disorder. If it continues and there is a mood swing, then he has reached the stage of the post-traumatic disorder. If not treated immediately, the person can end up committing suicide.

So, counseling is an important thing that must be given to the sufferer. According to him, the key to successful counseling is not advice or motivation. It makes them more stressed. One thing that can be done is to provide Psychological First Aid (PFA), namely look, listen and link.

Look means to make sure the person's condition is safe. Then listen, focusing on the thoughts and feelings of the traumatized person and not even asking about the chronology of events. Then the last is the link. The point is to provide any help they need. Mainly in stabilizing emotions.

On the other hand, the representative of the BK teacher from SMAN 1 Bululawang, Wiwik Endang, thanked him for being entertained and giving exciting material. According to him, the material presented was excellent and by what was needed.

"I gained knowledge and new methods to deal with and assist students at school. I also hope that UMM can always cooperate with BK teachers throughout Malang," he concluded. (cdr/zak/wil)
