As a city rich in tourist destinations, Malang has many places to vacation. It starts from the beach waterfalls to recreational parks. One of the tourist destinations that should not be missed when visiting Malang is Sengkaling Recreation Park. Under the auspices of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), this tourist park has various types of rides that can be enjoyed. Not only for children but also for adults.
This tourist park operates from six in the morning to five in the afternoon. The facilities owned by Sengkaling are also quite complete. When entering Sengkaling, we will be treated to a row of Malang culinary specialties members of the Sengkaling Food Festival (SFF). In addition, to the left of the counter, there is an inn with a ship concept called the Kapal Garden Hotel. Visitors can also stop by a sports place made of containers called Workout Container Gym.
"For the entrance fee to the Sengkaling Recreation Park, we set a price of 30,000 on weekdays and 35,000 on weekends. Some of the facilities obtained are free access to all swimming pools, animal parks, rabbit parks, and several other free rides. We also provide canal tickets priced at 60,000, which are valid for all swimming pools, Bomb Cars, Dragon Boats, Kiddy Trains, Bumper Boats, 4-Dimensional Theater, and Joyland Game Zone," said General Manager of Taman Sengkaling UMM, Dr. Achmad Mohyi, M.M.
Overall, the rides at Sengkaling Recreation Park are divided into three main parts, namely water rides, game rides, and animal areas. Visitors will be pampered with swimming pools for adults and children for the water rides section. There is also a mystery boat pool, a primitive charm pool, a Tirta Sari charm pool, and a squid pool.
"Meanwhile, in the amusement park area, we have mystery boats, motorboats, and water bikes that can be used to circle the Sengkaling pool. Besides that, there are also car bomb games, 4-dimensional cinema, playground, kiddy train, bumper boat, and many others," he added.
Since the end of 2021, Sengkaling has started a new step to combine education and tourism in its recreational park. Mohyi explained that Sengkaling had collaborated with several schools to conduct training and learning. The agenda includes learning how to work and manufacture Micro-hydro Power Plants, airplanes, fast boats, and environmental training. (cdr/syi/wil)
