UNIVERSITY of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) collaboration with Napoleon Hill Foundation and Napoleon Hill Indonesia, held a motivational talk show, Tuesday (3/11), entitled Preview The Science of Success: Discover Your Definity Major Purpose, Embrace Your Success. Present four speakers include UMM Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. Other speakers were CEO of Napoleon Hill Foundation, USA Don Green; Founder and CEO of Napoleon Hill Foundation Indonesia Dato 'Muhammad Azhar, and; CEO of PT MIR Engineering Capt. Aloysius Sigit H.
To note, the Napoleon Hill Foundation was founded from the spirit of Napoleon Hill. Napoleon Hill (26 October 1883 - 8 November 1970) was a new-thinking American writer who became one of the first producers of the modern personal success literary genre. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest successful writers. His most famous book, Think and Grow Rich (1937), is one of the bestsellers of all time. When Hill died in 1970, Think and Grow Rich had sold 20 million copies.
UMM Rector Fauzan, in his presentation on the agenda which was followed by UMM academicians online and offline. Emphasized that no one in this world does not want to be successful. However, the success that is expect to be achieved, especially by UMM academicians, must be civilized. "Many people are successful but uncivilized. What this means is that we want to be successful but must not lose humanism, have the responsibility of civilization. This is what we will emphasize, "said Fauzan on the agenda which was broadcast live on the YouTube channel.
So, continued Fauzan, speaking of success, according to him, is not only reaching a point but in it is a form of human value. Because after all, one must also have a responsibility to improve civilization, especially National culture. "We want to become a civilized nation. There are two things that we want to target, successful and civilized,” said the message conveyed by UMM Rector Fauzan in the BAU Auditorium Campus III of UMM. This program specifically intended for new students in class 2020.
Strengthen what was conveyed by Chancellor Fauzan, CEO of PT MIR Engineering Capt. Aloysius Sigit H. whatever a person does must have meaning for others because the success he achieved was a form of God's gift that was entrusted to him to help others. “I am very inspired by Mother Teresa about loyalty. First, being loyal to God. Next, I will be loyal to humanity. I will be loyal to the Indonesian people. I will be loyal not to do negative things. That's what success means, ”he said
Meanwhile, the CEO of Napoleon Hill Foundation, USA Don Green responded to questions from participants about how to avoid procrastinating a job. According to him, the key is to plan work so that it is not delayed. This planning, according to Don Green, is a habit characteristic of successful people. “One of the keys to a successful person is that whatever he does must be well-planned and have clear goals. The practice of postponing work and having no goals is what makes people never successful, ”he said.
On the other hand, Founder and CEO of Napoleon Hill Foundation Indonesia Dato 'Muhammad Azhar. In his presentation, quoted BJ Habibie's aphorisms about success. He mentioned that success requires consistency. Consistency regardless of the field they are engaged in because consistency is one of the keys to success. "If you have decided to pursue a field, be a consistent person because consistency is the real key to success.
