President Director of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia Appreciates UMM PASTI Program

The UMM Pasti program is a top-of-mind program, where the word definite here is defined as a solid commitment to make sure what you want comes true. The President Director of PT conveyed this. Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia Choi Duk Jun, in his speech at the 105th Graduation of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) for the third period, last Thursday (29/9).

Choi, his nickname, congratulated and said that today was a proud day for the graduates. They have worked hard to complete the struggle and can make their parents proud.

"This beautiful day is the beginning of your journey forward. I'm sure there will be good things waiting for you in the future as long as you put in the effort. At this time, you should also be grateful to be the younger generation because you have many opportunities to develop yourself," said Choi.

He further explained that the graduates will face a demographic bonus in 2030, in which the number of productive age in Indonesia will be more significant, which is 70% of the total population of Indonesia. Therefore, it is not only challenges that will be faced but also opportunities that it can utilize adequately.

He says Indonesia is a beautiful country with abundant natural resources. He believes that Indonesia can become one of the countries with the most significant economic power, given its economic growth that continues to grow. So, UMM was a strategic effort to realize these goals and predictions. "I hope that you, young and full of energy, can make a difference and make this world better. Never stop the process. If you don't stop, no one can stop you. Be a role model of yourself," Choi hoped.

On the other hand, the Head of LLDikti Region VII, Prof. Dr. Dyah Sawitri, SE., MM, congratulated and was successful in UMM's achievement as a university in Indonesia that still maintains the accreditation of an excellent institution. She assessed that UMM always spreads its wings in creating innovations, especially related to learning. This is done to produce competent graduates in their fields. "It is an extraordinary achievement that UMM was able to graduate as many as 3,134 graduates in this period. I am sure you can be useful people for the environment and the country," she said.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UMM, Dr. Fauzan M.Pd., also congratulated the graduates and graduates who had completed their studies at UMM. Fauzan assesses that the experience graduates have gained during and outside of lectures will be a valuable provision. "Hopefully, you will become a graduate and a graduate of the pride of your parents. And hopefully, you will become a graduate with above-average competence," Fauzan hoped.

He further said that when the graduates wanted to improve their skills, they could return to the UMM campus. This is because UMM White Campus has a Center of Excellence (CoE) program, built not only for students but also for alums and the general public. According to him, UMM, as a university, should develop Indonesian human resources for the nation's progress. In addition, it is also an effort to answer problems in the community.
