The collaboration between the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (KEK) is back. After three years of designating this area, signed by President Jokowi, SEZ Singhasari will immediately operate and provide attractive facilities and services. One of them was initiated by the White Campus, namely the Center for Future of Work.

The Deputy Governor of East Java (Jatim), Emil Elestianto Dardak, also monitored, seeing how the SEZ Singhasari had made progress. "Yes, we are seeing the readiness of the Singhasari SEZ after the designation of this area as an SEZ. It turns out that there have been many development processes for expansion," said Emil.

According to him, several things can accelerate SEZ development and attract investors. One of them is the quality of existing human resources (HR). In this case, UMM is ready to develop an exciting program called Center for Future of Work.

This program will produce superior talents in the digital field and future professions. Currently, two hectares of land will be built as supporting facilities. Emil was sure that the Singhasari SEZ could be started soon, especially with the help of international consultants whom UMM had engaged in designing and building future professional programs.

The Center for Future of Work is a breakthrough for the White Campus in preparing future generations. Please encourage them to master skills and abilities based on their respective passions. It includes a debriefing program oriented toward future jobs and digital development.

Delivered separately by the Chancellor of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., his party sees the Singhasari SEZ has the same frequency, especially in developing human resources. In addition to collaborating with SEZ Singhasari, UMM also invites operational, financial, government, and user technical collaborators.

This program aims to produce superior digital talents. This is also the White Campus's effort to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. That way, the younger generation can compete not only at the local level but also internationally.

In the Center for Future of Work, participants can take special education that provides competence in digital information technology. Interestingly, this program also conducts systematic research to produce human resources by the qualification needs of the Business and Industrial World (DUDI). That way, the resulting HR can be directly recruited and follow the needs of each company.

One part of the Center for Future of Work is the Center of Excellence (CoE). In the process, young people and participants will receive hands-on skills classes from professionals. In addition, they also have the opportunity to experience the work atmosphere in various prestigious companies. Call it Amazon Web Service, PT. Charoen Pokphand, PT. Sanbe Farma, and companies under the Ministry of SOEs to government agencies.

"Therefore, the HR development process and the Center for Future of Work must have great explosive power. Physical construction will also be carried out soon. We will also add and attract partners and stakeholders who already have an international reputation to support this program. Soon, UMM will immediately conduct a groundbreaking for the Center for Future of Work campus, located in the SEZ Singhasari area," said Fauzan. (cdr/wil)
