The Government of Western Australia is Ready to Support the Center for Future of Work UMM-SEZ Singhasari

The development of the Center for Future of Work developed by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (KEK) continues. Most recently, the two of them held a meeting with the Western Australian government to discuss cooperation that could be maximized and benefit many parties. The meeting at the Singhasari SEZ on Tuesday (31/5) was also attended by the Deputy Governor of East Java (Jatim), Emil Elestianto Dardak.

Deputy Premier Minister of State Development, Job and Trade, Tourism, Commerce, Science West Australia Roger Cook considered his meeting with UMM and SEZ Singhasari very interesting. He said that it would be possible to exchange human resources and students between the two parties. Later, they can be placed and experience internships in various company sectors that have been prepared.

"We hope to get good partners from educational institutions to develop these sectors, one of which is from educational institutions," said Roger.

On the other hand, Emil said that UMM had taken a strategic role in developing the nation's education. Although not a state campus, UMM White Campus is the best private campus in East Java and one of the best campuses in Indonesia. He hopes that the meeting with the Australian side can bridge and initiate mutual support efforts. Mainly in implementing the existing programs in SEZ Singhasari.

The CEO of SEZ Singhasari, David Santosa, said the same thing. His party is now working hard to provide answers to the millennial generation's needs. Among them by building creative centers, such as the center for digital film animation. Likewise, tourism zones and other digital activities can equip the younger generation to become a digitally capable society.

According to him, the program's potential initiated by KEK and UMM is an exciting contribution. The two will work together to realize the Center for Future of Work concept. Moreover, both of them also have the same idea and mature vision for developing it.

Meanwhile, UMM Vice Rector II Nazaruddin Malik also briefly introduced a series of Centers of Excellence owned by the White Campus. In these skill classes, students can develop their potential and passion. That way, when students graduate, students have unique skills that can be utilized.

In addition, UMM also always supports students in developing digital skills. "Armed with all these things, graduates are expected to get good jobs in the future," said Nazar.

The Center for Future of Work, initiated by UMM-SEZ Singhasari, is a Center of Excellence that will provide human resources with qualifications to master digital technology. In addition, it is also able to fill the needs of human resources in the future. UMM will also build a new campus as a digital HR development center in the SEZ Singhasari area. (cdr/wil)
