Muhammadiyah University Riders (MURid) or UMM motorcycle club held Ramadan Social Services (Baksos). This Ramadan social service is being held in the sub-districts of Tajinan, Wagir, and Donomulyo. Who carried out activities by providing assistance and painting the prayer room, Study Group building, and Kindergarten.
Zakarija Ahmad, the coordinator of the UMM motorcycle club, said that the social service activity had been carried out several times by this motorcycle lover club.
"Almost every time there is a natural disaster around the Malang Raya area, we always come down to give care. During this month of Ramadan, we have the Ramadan On The Street (ROSid) program to share it with prayer rooms and schools," said the Psychology lecturer, the Head of the UMM Personnel Section.
Funds for this social service activity were obtained from donors and voluntary contributions made by UMM MURid members. "Thank God, thanks to the help from donors, the budget we need has been fulfilled even more," said Yunan Syaifullah, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, who was appointed treasurer of the MURid club. Yunan expressed his gratitude to all donors, especially the paint company Indana Paint, which has donated paint to this year's MURid Ramadan social service program.

The activity began with community service cleaning and painting the Mujahideen prayer room, RT 30 RW 6 Sukodadi Sumbersuko Tajinan, on Sunday (10/4). The cleaning and painting activities were carried out with Juwari, the head of the RT, Samuri, the takmir of the prayer room, and M. Habibi, the head of the Youth Organization, and assisted by some residents.
Mr. Samuri, one of the residents, said that he was pleased with the painting assistance of UMM MURid. "The prayer room has been mossy for a long time, and there is no budget to buy paint. Alhamdulillah, this Ramadan, our prayer room is clean so that the Tarawih prayer congregation feels more comfortable," said the 1998 UMM alumni.
The activity continued with the handing over of paint, a donation from the paint factory Indana Paint to several kindergarten schools, and study groups in the Donomulyo and Wagir areas.
"We handed over paint from Indana Paint and several building materials to repair kindergarten and study groups facilities," said Eka Kadharpa, one of the MURid members who became the field coordinator for this social service.

The donation delivery trip was carried out on Friday (15/4) with the target of TK' Aisyiyah Bustanul Atfhal 19, Jalan Yogyakarta RT 4 RW 4 Donomulyo Malang. After Friday prayers, the group went straight to KB 'Aisyiyah 6 Wagir in Glagah Ombo hamlet, Sumbersuko, Wagir Malang. Donations ended before sunset at KB' Aisyiyah 14 at Rakesan RT 18 RW 3 Gondowangi, Wagir Malang.
UMM MURid consisting of lecturers and employees does not require using a motorcycle with a particular brand or CC. Anyone with any motorbike can join. Dozens of employee lecturers join this motorcycle club. "MURid is not a motorcycle club that likes racing, but this club acts to spread benefits to others and a gathering place between members, alumni, and the community," said Zakariya. (apg/wil)
