The journey of Mobil Bioskop Keliling (UMM) continues. This time, the UMM team visited Bendogerit village and presented a series of films and performances last Friday (10/6).

Interestingly, residents and children can try to become news anchors that have been prepared by the Communication Science study program laboratory, UMM White Campus. They had the opportunity to read the news in front of the camera on a green screen and broadcast it directly on Youtube and the big screen.

It aims to introduce the world of reporters and news anchors to the people of Blitar. Several children and residents were trying to read the news in front of the camera. “This is our effort to explore the future potential of children. Maybe later from Bendogirit new good Najwa-Najwa Shihab will be born,” hoped Widiya Yutanti, UMM representative.

The residents of Bendogerit also contributed to the performance of various kinds of dances. Starting from Remo dance to Jejeg. There was also an acoustic band performance opening at the beginning of the event.

Widiya, his nickname, said that he was grateful because the village and youth organizations and UMM could work hand in hand to make this event happen. He said that the schedule for watching this film together (NoBar) was one of a series of UMM roadshows in Blitar.

Before Bendogerit, his party had visited the Class I Blitar Children's Special Guidance Institute (LPKA). After Bendogerit, the UMM team will come to MAN 2 Blitar to provide new insights and knowledge for students.

"We also deliberately invite younger siblings to try to become news anchors. Hopefully, it can grow their interests, talents, and potential," he added.

On the other hand, Lurah Bendogerit Sugiono considered an event like this very much needed because it could grow the character of the community who attend and participate. Especially the children who will continue the generation in the future.

"The event as a result of the collaboration between the residents of Bendogerit, the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah (PDM) Blitar City, and UMM was also held to commemorate Bung Karno month," added Sugiono.

M. Sidiq conveyed the same thing as Assistant for the Economy and Welfare, who represented the mayor of Blitar. He hoped that this kind of schedule could be held again by UMM next year to commemorate Bung Karno Month.

"Hopefully, UMM can come back next year with a bigger event. So that more people come and of course, it's livelier," he hoped.

He appealed to the people of Blitar to receive and welcome guests well. Moreover, many residents from outside the city will visit Blitar to enliven Bung Karno Month.

There were also performances by foreign UMM students from Vietnam who read poetry about Bung Karno at the event. The enthusiasm of the audience is also high, especially the children.

"Fun and also entertaining. Moreover, many appearances and films were screened. Yes, we certainly hope events like this can be held often. Especially in Blitar," said Silvi, one of the residents. (cdr/wil)
