A good education must have a good foundation with a systematic curriculum. So, in order to create a good educational program, the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) conducted a benchmarking visit to the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). This activity was carried out on December 7, 2022, in the White Campus rectorate building.
Andi Widjajanto as Governor of Lemhannas was amazed and happy to be able to do benchmarking at UMM. He said that the slogan of graduating on time is important in higher education. According to him, it is not the time for lectures to exceed the limit of four years of college. So, he really appreciated the system at UMM which continued to develop following technological advances.
Andi, as he is affectionately known, feels that CoE is a program that is needed in the world of education today, especially to create productivity in Human Resources (HR). Also, as an effort to become a support so as to create a golden Indonesia 2045.
"We hope that this visit can add to our references and provide curriculum provision at Lemhannas in order to produce the best generation," he added.
On the other hand, dr. Fauzan, M.Pd as the Chancellor of UMM said that his party had programs that supported the interests and talents of students. The Center of Excellence (CoE) is a one-semester program with guaranteed job readiness. Interestingly
The CoE is a study-based system, in which every department at UMM has a professional class. This program is open to the public so that students who have different hobbies from their majors can take part in it.

UMM also always appreciates every achievement achieved by students. Because the achievements achieved by students describe the university in the eyes of the general public. In addition, every student's interests and talents are always accommodated in the Student Activity Unit (UKM).
"From this UKM, various creative works and academic and non-academic achievements can be born," he explained.
The same thing was conveyed by UMM Deputy Rector IV Dr. Sidik Sunaryo, SH., M.Si., M.Hum. I hoped that Lemhannas' visit to UMM could provide new knowledge to create an education system. Hopefully, UMM can be a good example and reference for producing leaders.
"On this occasion, friends at Lemahannas want to see directly the educational process that is in the White Campus. The hope is that it will not only be a visit, but also a bridge of cooperation for both parties," concluded Sidik. (cdr/haq/wil)
