Paying attention to mental conditions is essential but don't do self-diagnosis. The Head of UPT conveyed this. Guidance & Counseling, Hudaniah, S.Psi., M.Sc. According to her, self-diagnosing would be very risky. Its nature will be subjective, and there is no longer anyone's point of view.

"Look for a professional person such as a psychologist or come to a psychiatrist. You can also come to the counseling service (BK) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Later we will help and assist in dealing with psychological problems experienced by the community, "she added.

Hudan explained that there are several services that his party provides—starting from the classic or individual. Classical, namely guidance, aims to make people recognize their potential, understand the environment, and overcome obstacles or problems that have potential for the future. While the individual is counseling based on their own will to solve problems or trauma they have.

"Classical guidance is usually intended for new students who want to recognize their potential, which will later be directed to psychological tests. It is usually a personal problem for individuals related to family or friends. Even with emotional conditions, "explained Hudan.

She reiterated that counseling guidance would be much more effective if based on his own will. In contrast to BK at school, Counseling on campus will be ready if there are complaints based on their own volition, especially if you have problems. "Essentially someone who does counseling because they need support and want to share stories with other people," he said.

Hudan said that every problem that requires Counseling has its uniqueness. At UMM itself, the counselee (client) faced also came from different problem backgrounds. Some come from trauma with family, relationship problems, problems with final assignments, and feel that they have problems from within themselves.

"In some trauma cases, there are those who need more than ten visits to heal. Because psychological conditions are different from physical ones, a client must fully trust a trusted counselor to share stories," said Hudan.

She also considered that some of our society negatively thinks of those who visit a psychiatrist or psychologist—believed to have a mental disorder or stress. People also need further treatment if they feel uncomfortable with themselves. She admits that changing people's perspectives is not an easy matter.

"In the past, our society was not used to people who had different behavior. They were even put in shackles because they didn't know what a psychiatrist and psychologist were. But over time, the public must also realize that there are professions that can handle conditions like this," he said.

Hudan also said that his party continues to strive to educate various levels of society. Like parents and teenagers or prospective couples who want to get married. The material also varies, ranging from how important it is to strengthen children's mentality even education about pre-marital sex to prepare for parents' mental health. They also still have to try to socialize the role of psychologists.(cdr/zak/wil)
