University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) continues to improve the quality of its education. White Campus launched the Center of Excellence (CoE) Corporate Law School last Wednesday (28/09). The CoE is an idea from the Department of Islamic Family Law (HKI) of the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) Malang.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of the Peradi Malang Branch Management Board (DPC), Dian Aminudin, S.H., appreciated the unique program initiated by the Faculty of Islamic Religion (FAI) UMM. This cooperation will be an opportunity and a challenge for legal development in Indonesia. Especially in the scope of the company.=

"This is an opportunity that must be maximized well. Peradi has hundreds of certified advocates, mainly in corporate legality. With these qualities, hopefully, we can equip students to face challenges in the future and increase legal knowledge, "said Dian.

On the other hand, the Rector of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., explained that this CoE was born to encourage UMM students' expertise. Regarding Coe, which was launched by FAI, according to him, it was a good breakthrough. Many companies need a legal team, but no colleges with law graduates have these skills. Then this CoE is here to answer problems and bridge students and companies.

"This cooperation is not only for both parties but for the nation. It is a strategic step to building superior Human Resources (HR) in the field of law. For students, explore the energy that is within them. Don't be complacent, and continue to increase your capacity to face the next demographic peak. Through CoE, I believe that UMM can lead you to become a human being above the average," said the Rector from Kediri.

Regarding implementing the Corporate Law School program, the Head of the UMM HKI Study Program, Muhammad Arif Zuhri, Lc., M.HI., explained that this class would be open to both Islamic and non-law students. The implementation of the course itself will be carried out for six months. However, non-law students will be given introductory material for two weeks before the flagship class starts.

"Besides being a mentor, Peradi will also bridge the students with various companies. Through this program, students also have the opportunity to take part in taking care of legal documents and company contract documents and become a legal team. They also contribute in verifying legal drafting data, contract drafting, the law of employment to cooperation contracts," he concluded. (cdr/syi/wil)
