The Expectations of the Minister of Health Terawan for UMM Graduates

In particular, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Lieutenant General (Retired) of Indonesian national army Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp.Rad (K) Republic of Indonesia put his hopes to 977 graduates of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) who graduated in the first period of 2020 mainly in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education.

First, in terms of education, UMM was expected to produce graduates who were ready to use. "Never stop learning, even though you have graduated don't stop learning. Continue to gain knowledge so that we become graduates who are ready to use, quality and character, "said Terawan.

The second was in terms of research and development. UMM graduates were expected to produce research and development that supported the acceleration of achieving development goals.

"Must remember, continue to conduct research and development research. I still do. I still keep an international journal. Therefore, I am sure, new graduates still want to develop their knowledge, research. Always keen to see opportunities to be researched, "said Terawan.

And the last was in terms of community service. UMM graduates were also expected to be able to mobilize community empowerment to optimize preventive and promote efforts in controlling disease through the movement of healthy living communities.

"Remember, once you graduate, you are the servants of the community with all kinds of positions that you get, from all the jobs you carry. You all are becoming community servants who will devote themselves to the community, "said Terawan, who on that occasion was also confirmed as an honorary family of UMM.

Minister of Health, Terawan then congratulated the graduates. Hopefully, the knowledge gained could be used and applied to the welfare and health of the Indonesian people. "Hopefully the efforts we undertake to create a healthy and productive society, building superior human resources towards advanced resources are achieved," he said. (win)
