It is undeniable that cooperation has an essential role in advancing Indonesian education. Increase capacity to achieve global competitiveness together with the world's top universities. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., at the International Seminar of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on Monday (12/1).
This seminar thoroughly discussed scholarship opportunities and partnership cooperation in the health sector and invited international embassies in Europe and Asia. Michal Weglarz represented the Polish Embassy, the Malaysian Embassy attended by Farid Ma'ruf, and the Taiwan Embassy represented by Fajar Nuradi. The three introduced various opportunities and access to scholarships for students and lecturers, likewise, with the steps that who can take to attract international parties.
According to Fauzan, this is a crucial step to improve the quality of the university, especially in the health sector, in the majors of nursing, pharmacy, and physiotherapy. "We have to continue to spread our wings by taking the initiative to introduce UMM as well as to build cooperation with universities in the world. It could be in the form of lecturer exchanges, joint research, and even student exchanges," he added.

Michal said that several universities provide health education in English. Lublin, Gdansk, and Krakow are some cities with universities with health education.
Various advantages can be obtained when studying in Poland. First, diploma graduates from the program can be recognized in multiple European countries and the world, including Australia and America. There is also a one-year premedical course program that can follow and train after completing their studies
"The cost of studying and living in Poland is also quite competitive. So I think studying in Poland is an interesting experience for my friends," he added.

Meanwhile, the Dean of Fikes UMM Yoyok Bekti Prasetyo explained that the Embassy was a representative of each country with close relations with Indonesia. So, Yoyok felt that this situation was very strategic to develop the quality of human resources, especially the human resources at the UMM Medical School.
"Alhamdulillah, so far, the students and lecturers of FIKES UMM have been able to play this critical role well. They are collaborating in activities, research, and seminars held several times. One of them is collaborating with attaches and embassies in Europe and Asia.
His party is currently establishing communication with universities and embassies in America. Furthermore, Fikes UMM will also hold similar events to accelerate the introduction of the faculty in the eyes of the global community. Thus, the exposure obtained is more significant. (apg/will)
