In improving the quality of university education, the improvement of standards and curriculum has an important role. Seeing this, the Internal Quality Assurance Agency (BPMI) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a Consolidation of the Implementation of the Tasks of the Faculty's Internal Quality Assurance Team (GPMI). The survey was carried out offline last week.
Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes., the head of BPMI UMM, explained that this event aimed to introduce the duties and functions of the GPMI faculty. Especially considering the personnel of the faculty GPMI team per year is filled with new people. He also conveyed that the most basic task of this group is to carry out quality assurance at the faculty level.
He continued that other task the faculty group must carry out included supervision of study program activities following achievement targets and work indicators. In supervising this, they can monitor every existing study program. Program monitoring must also follow the hands set by the university, likewise, with the satisfaction level survey efforts.
"The survey is divided into two, namely internal and external. Internal survey data are obtained from lecturers and students. While external includes data from alumni, companies, and the community," he explained.
Furthermore, the Biology Education Study Program lecturer considered that the presence of the cluster at the faculty level was also an effort to assist faculties and products. Mainly in numbers directing to avoid getting out of the indicators set. Likewise, with efforts to achieve the targets that have been proclaimed.
"This is done to maintain the quality and quality of study programs and faculties. That way, the quality of universities can also be better and can facilitate the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI)," he added.
Finally, he hopes that in the future, GPMI can smooth out the smooth running of SPMI. In addition, he also hopes that this group can be an excellent internal quality guarantor and develop indicators according to the knowledge group. That way, the quality of the campus can be maintained and can be improved. "Each study program is required to have a scientific vision. That is the vision according to the standards to achieve the scientific vision with the target of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education," he concluded. (cdr/haq/wil)
