Through CoE, the UMM Student Was Recruited by the Company Before Graduation

He is Moh Lutfi Masaid, A student majoring in  Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (FAAH) in the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) who was successfully recruited to work at PT Garin Agro Sejahtera before his graduation. Lutfi, his nickname, admitted that he got this opportunity due to his experience participating in the Center of Excellence (CoE) Shrimp Professional Class at UMM.

This student who likes to climb mountains explained that he was grateful to UMM for providing the CoE program. During his time in the program, he gained very useful knowledge and he could implement this knowledge directly in the Industrial World and Business World.

"I used to join the Shrimp Professional Class CoE at PT Ghana Utamadi Dhuniara for one semester. Apart from being able to gain knowledge, I also received a conversion of 20 credits that semester. It is the same program as the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program promoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture," he explained.

Furthermore, Lutfi explained that while participating in the CoE, he was assigned to assist the pond technician. He helped with various tasks, such as the calculation of feeding, calculating the dosage of vitamins and drugs to be given to shrimp, to calculating the total amount of shrimp harvest that will be acquired. The various tasks are very positively correlated to the work he is currently doing.

In addition, the CoE program is a manifestation of UMM's full commitment to be able to prepare students to be ready to be placed in the business and industrial world. It also answers the challenges of the needs of the business and industry sector related to the professionals who are ready to work immediately when they enter the company. Moreover, the CoE owned by UMM has reached more than 50 programs. The CoE also collaborates directly with various industries and businesses. So that the skills given to participants are really in accordance with what the industry needs.

Finally, the man from Situbondo also advised all UMM students to be able to take advantage of the opportunities of various excellent programs on the white campus. "For UMM students, take advantage of all programs at UMM, including CoE. It would be a shame if you didn't participate because it could provide a way to get a job.
