UMM Superior Talent Scholarship: Frees from Tuition Education for New Students with Achievements Until Graduation

The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) opened a Superior Talent Scholarship for forthcoming new students on the achievement path. According to the Rector's Decree, this ongoing scholarship is given from admission to college graduation through a tuition-free scholarship. This program is a follow-up to UMM's previous scholarships, such as alumni scholarships, PPUT, orphans, KIP, Djarum, Astra, Baznas, BRI, Erasmus Mundus, and various other opportunities.

The Head of UPT New Student Admissions (PMB), Nurudin, explained that the superior talent scholarships are free of tuition fees until students graduate. Prospective students of all study programs can get it. As for the forthcoming medical faculty students, separate rules that have been prepared will be applied.

Nurudin explained that they could complete several requirements and the necessary documents to get it. If they take the academic achievement path, their status must be 2019-2022 graduate students. Then the average value of the report cards owned at least reaches 80. "Especially for the Pharmacy department, an average Science and Mathematics score is required at least 80 in addition to the average report card," he added.

Interestingly, prospective students can also take the interest and talent achievement path in addition to the academic achievement path. Nurudin said that several achievements in various fields could be used to register for this pathway. From sports achievements at certain levels, wins in the arts at certain levels, to organizational activities. The LKTI field also requires prospective students to have scientific writing achievements.

On the other hand, the religious field, such as memorizing the Qur'an 10 Juz, MTQ champion, and proud achievements in the Arabic language. The same applies to the social sector, which includes content creators, influencers, YouTubers with a minimum of 5,000 subscribers, to celebrities with at least 10,000 followers.

"Especially for those active in creating creative, educational, and positive content. The registration for this achievement track will be open until April 23, 2022.
