Proud news came from the Islamic Family Law Study Program (HKI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Is Muhammad Arif Zuhri, Lc., M.Hi., as the head of the UMM HKI Study Program, was crowned chairman of the Association of Akhwal Syakhsiyah (Perkasa) Coordinator of Private Islamic Higher Education Region IV. This was based on deliberations and elections held last November.

Meanwhile, Perkasa is an association formed by the Coordinator of Region IV Private Islamic Higher Education in Surabaya in 2016. Several tasks must be carried out, starting from gathering and becoming a bridge for all HKI Study Programs at the private tertiary level. Mainly to collaborate in realizing the Tridharma of Higher Education. Among them are education, research, and community service.

Arif, his nickname, explained that Perkasa also seeks to optimize the performance of academics in the IPR environment. Then it also gave birth to a scientific organization in the field of IPR or Akhwal Syahkhsiyah under the name Association of Private Islamic Family Law Lecturers (ADHIKS).

"Through this Perkasa, I hope that the collaboration and cooperation of HKI prod in various tertiary institutions can be more solid, tight, and able to work collegially collectively. So that we can all give birth to the next generation who are qualified and have a good level of knowledge, "he said.

Apart from electing a new board and chairman, the Perkasa conference was filled with workshops on the MBKM program. This can be seen from the theme raised: “Integration of the MBKM Program in the Curriculum of Private Islamic Universities". The program launched by the Minister of Education and Culture has gradually faced many challenges. So there needs to be solutions and innovations, so this exciting program can run optimally. Interestingly, the UMM team was also the speaker in the workshop.
