As a student, various experiences in the campus environment are not enough. There must be a national and international experience. The exchange program was held with Singapore Polytechnic with the theme "Singapore: Understanding History and Heritage." Fifteen students will follow a series of agendas on Friday (24/7).

Very Kurnia Aditama, M.Pd., staff of the International Relations Office (IRO) UMM, said that this program turned virtual when the Covid-19 pandemic came. Previously, the program took place offline. So UMM and SP students can meet in Malang and do a joint project.

"The Exchange program with Singapore Polytechnic has been going on since 2019 and is held twice a year. So the program is shifted to virtual," he added.

A familiar greeting explains that the concept of virtual exchange is in the form of cultural exchange. During the program, each student is asked to present the culture of their respective countries. Both from Indonesia and Singapore. So that both parties can get new things and different perspectives. Likewise with their culture and customs.

He further explained that this student exchange lasted for one month with four meetings. That will provide two classes on two main days, namely Monday Class on Monday and Friday Class on Friday. Participants were asked to choose one of the classes and follow it to the end via the Zoom meeting platform.

"There are more than 80 participants who have registered and want to join this virtual exchange. Then, at the administrative stage, 40 people passed. Finally, 15 final students were selected who passed to participate in this program," Very added.

This Bojonegoro native hopes that all participants who pass and participate in this program can bring out their best abilities. In addition, it also expands networks and acquaintances with international students, especially from Singapore. That way, they can get new perspectives and views.

"Language is also an important aspect. This program is a suitable place and place to practice their English to be better," he concluded. (apg/Haq/Wil)
