UMM has four large libraries with a total size of 5586.72 m².
The central Library is located on Campus III.
This library consists of three floors with a size of 4.690 m².
The AR Fachruddin Mosque Library is located at the AR Fachruddin Mosque on Campus III with a size of 134.32 m².
Campus II Library is located on Campus II (Jl. Bendungan Sutami 188) with a size of 750 m².
The Masters Program Library is located on Campus I (Jl. Bandung No. 1) with a size of 120.4 m².
There are also faculty libraries each with a size of 64 m².
The UMM library is managed by the digital library system (Digilib), which is connected with several libraries, both at home and abroad.
In East Java there are only two libraries which are digital; one of them is the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
The Central Library has a collection of books, magazines, newspaper journals, collections of newspapers, CD installer, CD e-books, and tapes.
The Automatic Library Service (Laser), library Automation Application System is used to facilitatie internet services for library users.
References can be found and books can be borrowed from UMM library anytime by accessing the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAG).
The Digital Library, a virtual library which is connected to the network
The Indonesia Digital Library Network (IDLN) which currently has 100 partners joined (ITB, IPB, Airlangga University, NGOs, Military Research Agency, RI Health Department, Polytechnic, Muhammadiyah university and others).
The UMM digital library server is easily accessible.
Another service developed at UMM is the Online Order System.
The UMM library is also equipped with supporting facilities such as photocopy machines, scanning machines, CD-Writing, Wifi-hotspots, Corners (Muhammadiyah & UMM Corner, American Corner, Tarmidzi Taher Corner, Djohan Effendi Corner, Jacob Oetama Corner, Entrepreunership Corner, etc.). UMM services are also open to the public.
