|Wakil Bupati Jombang Drs. H. Widjono Soeparno, M.Si. turut hadir dalam acara OVJ
The students of UMM who served for community service program (KKN) was more creative. One of groups was the group 65 which placed in Ngoro Jombang. They managed Healthy Day involving the community at an area of Lapangan Ngasem Kabupaten Jombang on Sunday (7/15). The agenda was called by Onthel Van Jombang (OVJ) under the theme of “Lestari Alamku, Semarak Ramadanku”.
“In spite of preserving the nature and culture, the agenda is also managed to welcome the coming Ramadan,” stated the chief of group 65 Anal Faizin. The agenda which lasted at 07.00-11.00 p.m was enlivened by planting trees, cycling the old bicycle (ngonthel) together, and some other performance.
Ngontel ceremony was also followed by Indonesian Old Bicycle Community (Kosti), Ngoro Cycle Club (NCC), Hordoks of Jombok Community (HMJ), Mojowarno Onthel Community, Gasela, Healthy Cycling Association (PBS), and even Bicycle Community from neighborhood cities such as Kediri, Mojokerto, and Trenggalek.
The committee overwhelmed because they just served only 1800 tickets for the participants. The participants wearing an old clothe even more enlivened the road along 12 KM. In finish line, some traditional food were served in Pasar Klithikan which organized by HMJ. Some door prizes were prepared; they were mountain bike, TV, hand phone, and some other entertained prizes.
The agenda was attended by the vice chief of Jombang Regent Drs. H. Widjono Soeparno, M.Si. Besides, the member of DPR RI from Jombang constituency H. Sadarestuwati, SP, M. MA and the staff from Ngoro district also participated. In adiition, the Vice Rector I of UMM Prof. Dr. Bambang Widagdo and KKN official Drs. Amir Syarifuddin, MP supported the students.
“Let’s accustomize with healthy life begins from our own-self because being healthy starts from the word “I”,” said Widjono.
The similar statement was also stated by Sadarestuwati and the head of Jombok village Nugroho Adi Wiyono. They called the community in order to reduce the pollution by riding a bike.
“If it is possible, managing the city by pollution free day in Jombang especially in Jombok will be better,” said Nugroho who was the alumni from FPP UMM.
The Vice Rector I welcomed the agenda. He said his gratefulness to all community for their cooperation in managing the agenda with students from group 65. He hoped that the students will continuously have good relationship with the community and keep the good name of alma mater.
The committee said, the preparation was only for three weeks. Even, of the hard work from the team, publication via various media had successfully welcomed enthusiastically and run as it was planned. “Alhamdulillah, I am happy that the OVJ run successfully, even, it is more than what I expect,” said Anal Faizin.
