National jamboree of students Information and Counseling Center (PIK) within the Muhammadiyah Higher Education (PTM) all of Indonesia would be held in University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), on July 6-7, 2012. Approximately 450 people consisted of students from hundreds universities in Indonesia were participate in the event which was held for the first time.
The coordinator committee Drs Athok Miftahul Huda, MKes explained, the event would be centered on campus III of UMM. Most of the forums would be held in the UMM Theatre Dome; while the participants’ accommodation were in the Rusunawa I of UMM. “So far, the committee had prepared it well to welcome the participants,” said Athok who was also the Head of Students Affairs Bureau.
The event was divided into several sessions; those were, dynamics group, presentation of material, outbound, and competitions. The prepared material was about self motivation, entrepreneurship, and Generasi Berencana (GenRe) program. While, the held contest was an outreach, outreach media and cerdas ceria (smart and joy). “The participants from various provinces will perform their own local arts on the art performance event,” added Athok.
The National Jamboree (Jamnas) was a realization of the cooperation between the National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) and The Directorate of Higher Education (Dikti) council of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership. In the cooperation, was agreed that PTM would be the important part to prepare the family life for young generations. “The goal of this event is to develop the creativity and skills, and also to grow up the new spirit in the increased of commitment and participation of Muhammadiyah students toward the GenRe program,” concluded Athok.
