BEM FH Campaigs Anti-Corruption through KPK Films

 Para pemateri mengajak peserta untuk bersama-sama mencegah korupsi sejak dini

More than 300 participants from high school to university students in Malang Raya joined a Road show and National Workshop of Anti-Corruption & Movie Screening and Review “Kita VS Korupsi” (KvK) in UMM Dome theatre, Tuesday (5/29). The event was conducted by Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Law (FH) cooperated with International Transparency Indonesia and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Dean of Law Faculty Sidik SH MH stated, the road show and workshop was an event for young generations to be able to prevent and reduce corruption. “The presented films are unconsciously a representative fragment of our life today,” he said. He also emphasized to the students to be able to instill the honesty values since the early age because it would effect to the future.

 “KvK films which produced by KPK were expected could arouse an awareness about the damages resulted by the current widespread corruption,” stated the education commission of KPK Yudi Purnomo Harahap.

In addition, Yudi said that the fourth films which produced did not mean to teach but it just aware us to be sensitive to what was going on around us which presented by the actors through media film. “I wish we often watch shows which represent about social life, it might decrease the recently aberrations,” he concluded.

The coordinator committee Fendy also had the same expectation. “By joining this workshop, I hope that the participants can participate actively in eradicating corruption. Do not merely focus on the growing corruption in the central government, but also focus on cases around us, Fendy said.

The series of that fourth short films which had been watched by the students were “Selamat Siang Risa!”, “Aku Padamu”, “Psssttt,,, Jangan Bilang Siapa-Siapa”, and “Rumah Perkaya”. The films were also played by top artists, like Nicholas Saputra, Revalina S. Temat, Ringgo Agus Rahman, Tora Sudiro, Dominique Diyose, Ranggani Puspandya, Teungku Rifnu Wikana and Medina Kamil.
