Muhammad Kholis

“Essentially, doing anything by heart is the success key in conducting any tasks,” stated Muhammad Kholis, an outstanding employee I 2012 of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Worked as the administration staff in Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) made him felt he was in the right position.

Kholis who competed with 10 other people in the selection of outstanding employee at that time, did not predicted that he would be selected as the best one. The important thing for him was performing his responsibility in accordance with the mandate of University.

Kholis joined with UMM since 1992. He started his carrier as a staff of Logistics and Cleanliness. He worked in this bureau almost seven years, and he felt challenged when he was moved to the administration unit of FAI at 1998.

Now, the father of three children was trusted to organize many kinds of scholarship which is given by Religious Minister (Kemenag) RI and Government of East Java Province (Pemprop). He admitted, the task that was given to him was a reliance which has to be done as well as possible. “At the first time I not supposed that I was given the responsibility to organize this scholarship; this was a very important mandate for me.” He said that morning on the sidelines of his work.

Support from his family was also being the main-important factor for him. Even, he stated that he would keep dedicating himself to Muhammadiyah until the end of his life. His family gave much leeway when he had to spend more time to work.

Currently, Kholis have a duty to study at Electrical Engineering (D3) in UMM. He confessed that he got much assistance from his friends in doing his work. Meeting many new people did not make him become an inferior person. According to him, good adaptability could make everyone mingle with each other. This was that caused the man who was born 42 years ago was enjoying his work, nor even much grief he felt.
