A guest lecture held by Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on Wednesday (4/25) presented two resources. They were Sales Manager of PT. Indomarco Adiprima, Lara Abdullah, and business practitioner, V. Jajat Kristanto. MBA. MM. The guest lecture raised a theme on marketing globalization. It also became a best-practice story from leading companies for UMM students.
Lara who was also studying at Management Master Program of UMM gave alot of advise for 120 students attending the lecture. According to Lara, building and maintaining domestic market are something important. “A strong network is needed in marketing and distribution proces,” the graduate of S1 Perbanas Jakarta asserted.
A company needs not only profit, but also information. They are very important assets for a company. Besides, still according to Lara, market share and public opinion are important to be considered as well. “We have to understand customer's character in order to avoid mistakes in marketing. Thus, our company would not get loss,” she continued.
Similarly, Jajat Kristanto also stated that today's market is not only in domestic area, but also in global one. Customer relationship should become the main consideration of a company. He explained that market satisfaction lies on how a company serves public's demands. “That is why a certain product might quickly dash into internasional market because of its support on quality and outstanding service,” said Jajat.
