A daily newspaper, Surya, invited University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) to hold a Fun Bike named “Gowes Jelajah Malang Raya”. Based on estimation, there would be around 5000 bikers participating the fun bike which would be dispatched on Sunday (4/29) from Helipad of UMM starting at 6 a.m.
“Hopefully, there would be many employees and students join it,” said Taufik from Surya. To attract participants, since several weeks before Surya had published the event advertisement.
UMM would be make the event as a joint activity with Rector Cup 2012. The Chief of Student Affairs Bureau of UMM Atok Miftachul Huda aggreed on the event since it would enliven the Rector Cup. The fun bike was not only for about being healthy, but also a means of unifying the fellowship between bikers. “Let’s succeed this. Students are pleased to join,” said Atok.
In addition, Surya and sponsor have prepared a quite great prize: two motorbikes, 10 millions cash, 10 fixie bikes, 1 LCD TV, 10 handphones, 10 gas stoves, 10 fans and 10 irons.
