Brought up the topic “Save the Hurt, Heal the World”, Faculty of Medicine University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FK-UMM) again held the seminar. It held to celebrate World Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Day on Sunday (12/4). FK UMM again invited Dr. Boyke Dian Nugraha, SpOG, MARS, Dr. Sonia Wibisono, and FK UMM lecturer; Prof.Dr.dr. Djoni Djunaedi, SpPD.,KPTI. FINASIM
Boyke was acknowledged as Gynecologist and sex consultant stated that today’s AIDS diffusion was really worrying. “Asia takes the first place with dominant sufferer in 2012,” he declared.
Boyke, the doctor who was popular in entertainment, added that the increasing number of AIDS/HIV sufferer was due to unhealthy sexual act. Primarily, it happened in the use of contraception tool.
“Research study finds that seven of ten men in Indonesia did not want to wear a condom. It hastens virus diffusion, furthermore, the finding shows us that 13% of men are not loyal,” said Boyke, man who had three children. The seminar was designed in informal way; it was a song and entertainment performed by Dr.Boyke. It made the participants enjoy in following the seminar.
In addition, Prof. Djoni Djunaedi said that HIV/AIDS sufferer more increased. “In Malang, HIV/AIDS sufferer takes the third position around East Java area. One of the causes are due to minimum number of Volunteer Cancelling and Test (VCT) clinics in Indonesia, moreover, it is not well-spread,” said Djoni.
“Don’t ever stay away from ODHA (People with AIDS), they may not be moved away but its virus,” added Djoni in the midst of his delivering speech.
Furthermore, Dr. Sonia Wibisono gave the tips to prevent HIV/AIDS. This beautiful woman stated that HIV/AIDS could be prevented if couple had strong self-protection. “For women, don’t ever want to be deceived by your boy friend, we must be brave to refuse the exhortation. Actually, such kind of viruses can be avoided by self-protection between the couple themselves,” advised Sonia. (vid/nas/t_vik)
