Medical Faculty (FK) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was trusted by UKDI Joint Committee Center in Jakarta to be the host of National Competence Examination for Indonesian Health Professional (UKDI). The annual event aims to re-examine the competence of medical students who have done co-ass or internship in hospital for two years.

The trust given to UMM could not be separated from its achievements in succeeding graduating young physicians in UKDI with very satisfactory percentage each year. Dean of FK UMM, dr. Irma Suswati, M. Kes, said she was happy with the appointment of being host because it could facilitate access for her student alumni to participate in the national test. "Since the test is our own campus, my student alumni do not have to go far away to Jakarta," said Irma.

UKDI coordinator, Dr. Diah Hermayanti, SpPK explained that UKDI originally used paper-based test. However, it now has changed into computer-based test. "Therefore, the test absolutely required an adequate computer lab," said Diah Hermayanti. According to Diah, UMM is eligible to provide the necessary IT tools.

The UKDI was held on Saturday (8/6) and followed by 70 medical students from the State University of Jember, the Mataram University, and the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The test took place in the computer lab of Campus III UMM and went on smoothly.(vid/han/nas/t__alf)
