Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Prof. Dr. Mahfud MD tomorrow (07/20) would certainly present at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Together with the Chairman of the PP Pemuda Muhammadiyah, Dr. Daulay Saleh, MA, Mahfud would be the guest speaker at the seminar and the national dialogue held by the Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) UMM in the hall of the BAU.
The Dean of FISIP, Dr. Wahyudi stated this event is open to public. In addition to celebrating Independence Day, the event is also intended to continue the tradition of FISIP in building academic culture by presenting an important resource person from this country. "The presence of Chairman of the Constitutional Court represents one of the state institutions and the Chairman of PP Pemuda Muhammadiyah represents civil society. We hope they would talk about national issues interactively with the participants," he said.
The dialogue with the theme “Building National Values from the Legal, Social and Political Perspectives” is one of the FISIP events after previously FISIP also had held national-scale seminars. Last year, FISIP organized National Defense seminar which presented the Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro. The event was preceded by a seminar on police which presented ex-Kabreskrim Polri, Susno Duadji.
The Executive Chairman, Drs. Asep Nurjaman, MSI claimed to have prepared everything for the event which would start tomorrow at 9 a.m. He said that he had set up an interactive event. The audience position is around the round table just like in a dialogue forum in hotels.
"We'll gather the results of this seminar into a book along with the writings of FISIP lecturers later," said Asep who is also the Vice Dean I of FISIP. (nas/t_alf)
