The UMM Economics and Business Faculty held a guest lecture themed “Penguatan Sistem Ekonomi Indonesia Menuju Perekonomian Nasional yang Tangguh”, on Monday (6/6) at the UMM Dome. The guest lecture was for those who took the Indonesian Economy subject, and attended by M. Fadhil Hasan from INDEF Jakarta and the Regional Secretary of Malang Regency , Dr. Abdul Malik, M.Si.
The Dean of the faculty, Dr. Nazaruddin Malik, M.Si, stated that the event was part of the 47th anniversary of the faculty. There were also workshop, the inauguration, guest lecture, and doctoral colloqium.
Nazaruddin hoped that the students would be more active and critical when they got chances to discuss with any experts. It was planned that Fadhil Hasan would be promoted as professor.
Abdul Malik in that event explained about the fiscal desentralization. The fiscal desentralization, according to him, was started with fiscal transfer. It was the handing out the authority and followed by the input for the regional. "For Malang regency, its tourism and agriculture sectors are the commodity," said he.
While Fadhil Hasan explained about the economy performance and prospect in Indonesia. "It develops well in Indonesia, eventhough it was not good as last year," said Fadhil. (far/nas/t_ris)
