The candidates who had been previously selected by their respective faculties were selected again at the university level by the Academic Quality Control Board (BKMA). For two days, Tuesday-Wednesday (04/19-20), 25 lecturer achievers participated training of Capacity Building of Academic Personal Quality in UMM Inn. The final result of the selection on lecturer achiever will be announced at the ceremony of National Education Day on May 2.

The Chief of BKMA UMM, Prof. Dr. Ir. "Thus, the training material is more focused on the lecturer’s motivation to continue developing professionalism, admirable personality and high integrity," said the professor of FPP UMM.

According to Wahyu, the periodic election of lecturer achiever has existed since 2004. Every lecturer who has been selected by the department and faculty then is invited to join the training held by BKMA. In addition, the candidates present their excellence in order to determine the best Dospres of university level. Moreover, the deepening on Islamic teaching was filled by the Vice-Chairman of PW Muhammadiyah of East Java, Dr. Sa'ad Ibrahim, MA. Sa'ad who is also a lecturer at UIN Maliki Malang emphasized the basic principle of life which should be run according to Islamic values. It is assessed not only from the level of position and intellectuality, but also from the motivations that can build the willingness of the lecture to always improve the capability and responsibility as a lecturer.
