Staffs who receive periodic salary participate in strengthening mentoring of AIK in Rusunawa UMM.
UMM is always committed and consistent in the development of Human Resources (SDM). One of the implementations was organizing the training of strengthening Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) for lecturers and staffs. During two days (7/31 to 8/1), 72 staffs participated in a series of activities prepared by the Bureau of Public Administration, held at UMM Rental Flat Housing (Rusunawa). Head of the Bureau of Public Administration (BAU), Ir. Prasetyo Lukito MT., said that the training was held to celebrate a promotion for UMM permanent staffs and to reinforce staffs’ knowledge in the field of AIK.
At the opening ceremony, the secretary of the Executive Committee Agency (BPH) of UMM, Drs. Wakidi, gave motivation to all participants in order to keep them being motivated for the training. "This training can be used to straighten more the intentions, that is intention to always worship Allah and always learn to be sincere," said Wakidi.
The good news was, 40 people among 72 participants of the training were permanent staffs who had made a pilgrimage financed by UMM. Drs. Mursidi, M.Si., Vice Rector II, said that it had been become a tradition at UMM, dispatching their staffs to the holy land to perform hajj. Employees who received bonuses were the staffs who had devoted 18 years more at UMM. "Every year, UMM dispatches five staffs for the pilgrimage. The source of funds used is derived from non-students fund. Those come from the rest of the results and benefits of profit centers at UMM," added Mursidi. (trs/jss/t_alf)
