About 200 lecturers and employees joined the routine recitation held by UMM, Saturday (4/24). In that program, Muhammad Muqodas was invited as the keynote speaker and he took the worship as the theme.
Muqoddas began it with Sura Adz Dzaariyat:56, “And I have not created jinn and men but to worship me." It answered the question about the creation of men; why Allah created the men, and how the men were in Allah's view. The men, in Quran were called "insaan", which meant the visible creatures, and also contained of the meaning of harmony. The men were visible, while the jinn were invisible.
“In Islam, the worship cannot be separated from the principles. Firstly, the monotheism purity. It means free from khurafat and politheism," said Muqoddas. It was based on Sura Al Anbiyaa:25 which meant, "And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): There is no God but I, so worship Me." Allah would not forgive those who ally Him. Secondly, made the men free from the bonds of place or clergy. It meant, in Islam, the moslems could pray and do worship everywhere. (zpd/trs/t_ris)
