About 3000 men and Muhammadiyah volunteers attended the 27th Munas Tarjih Muhammadiyah opening ceremony at UMM Dome on Thursday (4/1). The visitors were from Malang, and some of them were from Surabaya.
It was opened by the Directorate General of Islamic Bimas, Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, and he represented the Religion Minister. It was also attende by Prof. Dr. Din Syamsuddin, Dr. Haedar Nashir, Prof. Dr. Yunahar Ilyas, Prof. Dr. Syamsul Anwar, and Prof. Dr. Syafiq A. Mughny.
In his speech, Syamsul Anwar stated that some problems would be overcome through that event. They were the job field, poor human resources, gender, justice, and human rights.
”As part of Muhammadiyah, its duty is to review the religion problems and guide the society related to it, in terms of serving the people and motivate them based on their job field," said Syamsul.
Further, Din added that the social problem still remained and they should be overcome through this event. Its results then were hoped to be able to guide the society in their social life.
”Fiqih Al-Ma’un, for example. It seems like a trade mark of Muhammadiyah. We solve the social discrimination problems through that stuff," said Din.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Islamic Bimas hoped that through this event, there would be some decisions which could solve the problems. "The differences in moslems should be overcome," hoped he. (rwp/nas/t_ris)
