Syafiq Mughni: Muhammadiyah Has a Fast Response Strength to Face Disaster

Surakarta- The internationalization process required careful preparation and planning, great energy and capital, as well as readiness of the support reliable source because the process of internationalization was identical with the advance, the strength of competitiveness, and the professionalism. Muhammadiyah strength in the process of internationalization was very large, especially in the participations from Muhammadiyah in responding to disasters in the world.

It was delivered bythe Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Syafiq Mughni in the seminar of 47th Muhammadiyah pre-conference in the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Tuesday (14/4).

Muhammadiyah, said Syafiq Mughni, was an organization that was active in the international community in addressing the issues of disaster and conflict. Muhammadiyah was quite a lot in participating the social welfare.

"Muhammadiyah has immense potential and advantages in the solution of International conflicts. The advantages, Muhammadiyah is able to respond quickly the conflict with deliberation so that it appears a comprehensive peace and justice ", he said.

According to Syafiq, MuhammadiyahDisaster Management Center (MDMC) was a Muhammadiyah management disaster agency that not only rapidly responded to disasters in Indonesia, but also to participated actively with the International disaster program

AzyumardiAzra, the Professor of the State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah, stated that Muhammadiyah had great potential and long experience to accelerate the transnationalization.

"From the point of Islamic orthodoxy Indonesia, Muhammadiyah prove the viability and sustainability of Islamic understanding that presses the moderation," said Azyumardi when talking about "TransnationalMuhammadiyah Indonesian Islamic Organizations: Potential and Prospects". (dzar)
