Yogyakarta- Da'i (Islamic preacher) competition, especially Da’i Muda Pilihan or Chosen Young Da'i, which is a new program at ANTV, is expected not to show too many jokes as its content since it can reduce dakwah esentials.

That was stated by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Yunahar Ilyas, in the meeting with ANTV President Director Dudi Hendrakusuma and his production team of the TV program at Muhammadiyah Central Executive Building on Friday (16/09/2011). “Indeed, entertainment point must get a portion due to TV pogram, however jokes are not a dominant factor because it isn't a joke competition," said he. ANTV President Director Dudi Hendrakusuma agreed with the proposal and said ANTV would be more selective. He also says one of program activities is the participant will go to society to preach before people directly.

According to Dudi, the participants of Da’i Muda Pilihan ANTV will also be equipped with teaching materials given by famous Islamic scholars such as Yusuf Masyur, Arifin Ilham, Quraish Shihab, Al Habsy, etc. Dudi mentions some judges such as Syafi’i Antonio, Kofifah I Parawansa, Ali Mustafa Yaqub, Teh Nini, and some visiting judges.
