P2K UAD 2011: Creating Student Generation Full of Values

Yogyakarta- This year, the event of Program Pengenalan Kampus or Student Orientation (P2K) at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) is attended by 3,600 students consisting of 3,142 new students of 2011 batch and 435 of 2010 batch who did not take part in previous year. There are 23 international students from China (18), Thailand (2), Timor Leste (2), and the Netherlands (1).

The event will last 4 days, starting from Sept 12 to 15. During the event, the students will have a series of activitities such as introduction to self identity and campus life with its infrastructure. This aims to prepare new students in doing a lecture activity later.

Besides, there is a Studium Generale from Dr. Ichsanuddin Noorsy titled "Dengan Semangat Kebangsaan Kita Ciptakan Generasi Mahasiswa yang Penuh Nilai" or "With the Spirit of Nasionalism We Create Student Generation Full of Values". It is expected that the students increase their nationalistic horizon toward Indonesia.

This P2K event will also give an opportunity to senior students to deliver talks on student affairs from Sept 12 to 14 at respective faculty. After that at the same place, GOR (sports hall) Among Rogo Yogyakarta, there will be exhibits. At the end, there will be an art performance. Sheila On 7, the famous band. will perform.
