MATARAM, MUHAMMADIYAH.ID –General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir officially opened Tanwir XXVIII of Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) in Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat on Thursday (6/2/2020).
In his remark, Haedar emphasized up-to-date Muhammadiyah movements so that hundreds of the IMM cadres should enhance their capabilities to be able to compete.
“If the IMM attempts to improve their actions dynamically, this changing world needs to become one of the considerations. The IMM cadres should develop their abilities and understand an identity of the IMM as the basis and scaffolding of the movement,” he revealed.
In the context of the people, nationality, and global, development and dynamics are complex, and some people call the 21st century a post-modern era.
Besides, Haedar expected that the Tanwir of the IMM could be a reflection of how far the IMM can confront future technically and epistemologically.
“May this Tanwir become a forum yielding intellectual debates having tajdid vigor and civilized attitudes or akhlaqul karimah,” hoped Haedar.
Additionally, Vice Governor of Nusa Tenggara Barat Sitti Rohmi Djalilah warmly welcomed the Tanwir of the IMM in Lombok. She wished that the IMM could collaborate with Nusa Tenggara Barat to run IMM programs and to evolve the province.
Besides, the Tanwir opening was also attended by General Chairwoman of the Central Board of Aisyiyah Siti Noordjanah Djohantini, Head of PWM of Nusa Tenggara Barat Falahuddin, General Chairman of the DPP of IMM Najih Prasetyo, Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram Arsyad Abd Gani.
