Other efforts, UMM continues to seek international recognition. In the meantime there are several study programs that have obtained such as AUN QA certification and several other international certifications. In essence, UMM continues to seek internationalization.
Second, the demands of the World of Business and Industry (DUDI) are increasing. Therefore, UMM continues to strengthen educational activities by providing additional competencies. For example, at UMM there is a Professional Certification Institute (LSP). From this institution, UMM students get competency certification on a certain scale. Certainly after going through the training process and competency test.
In the awarding ceremony, the Head of LLDikti Region VII East Java Prof. Dr. Suprapto, DEA. stated that the challenges of higher education in the future are increasingly severe. "Higher education is not only required to carry out the Tri Dharma particularly in quality learning but continuously make improvements," said Suprapto.

In addition, the learning mode has met the demands of the development of science and technology. The human resources produced by UMM are able to be responsive, adaptive, and ready to face the industrial revolution 4.0.
The research activities carried out by UMM were also considered sufficient to produce the expected publications and innovations. UMM also produced graduates and intellectual property products that had an impact on development. (joh)
