How to Get a Scholarship to America by Fulbright Alumnus

Who does not know the United States of America (USA) especially if they have an opportunity to study at Uncle Sam's country. Dr. Ike Sari Astuti as an alumnus of the Fulbright program which was a scholarship program for international student exchanges for scholars, educators, graduate students and professionals, also shared tips on getting this prestigious scholarship.

"First, you have to know what you want to study or what you want to research when you are in the USA. Next or second, that is preparing the files that will be sent and the third must know very well what subject to take and we can estimate how long our study period there, "Ike said when filling in the Basement Dome of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Thursday (9/19).

"As far as I know, UMM gave us a place. There are facilities like American Corner (Amcor), US Embassy, and the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (Aminef), and of course coming to an event like this also motivates us to continue the Master, "she continued.

At least, Dollars/hour the U.S. Graduate Fair 2019 or Education USA, namely Austin Simon from NYU-School of Professional Studies, Robert Coffey from Michigan State University, Susan Carvalho from the University of Alabama and Education Ike Sari Astuti from Fullbright Alumni.

Susan Carvalho from the University of Alabama explained about job opportunities while studying in America, work on campus either related to the appropriate field or not yet released because most universities have online listings (at least a US minimum job salary at 7.25 US Dollars/hour).

"And this is a good time to start a study trip to America and strengthen good relations between America and Indonesia," said Mark McGovern, Consul General at the US Consulate General for Eastern Indonesia, when giving a speech at the opening of the 2019 US Graduate Fair.

"This means we have responsibilities. Of course, to be able to go to America, you cannot be careless. We must have a good preparation to be able to carry the name of Indonesia and the University of Muhammadiyah Malang on the world stage, "concluded Dr. Fauzan M.Pd as UMM Rector on the same occasion.
