UNIVERSITY of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was a witness to the history of the establishment of Muhammadiyah Legal Aid Institute (LBHM), Friday (30/11). UMM Rector, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., expressed his desire that the establishment could be a pioneer in the nation's dignity in the field of law enforcement.
Now, said Fauzan, there are many malpractices both in the legal, social, political and other fields. For example, the verdict of the Supreme Court (MA) against Baiq Nuril was one of those malpractices. "Well, the establishment of LBHM must be a pioneer in the effort to make the nation's dignity in the legal field," said Fauzan.
Therefore, he hopes, what was born in the forum packaged in the National Workshop has a characteristic because it is part of the Muhammadiyah movement in the future. "Do not let us create what is born in this millennial era, but the performance cannot be acceptable," he said.
Fauzan reminded him not to make law is the only way to take solutions of problem. "Law enforcement is important. Yet there are many other ways that we can do also," he said.
Meanwhile, the humanist Emha Ainun Najib or Cak Nun expressed his hope that Muhammadiyah legal aid actors could base themselves enriching their insights, strengthening their mentality, ensuring faith and ensuring that God with him.
The people of this nation are being surrounded by Dajjal, who claimed the most syar'i and others. Yet it's all fake. "So, before practicing the Al-Maun, the perpetrators of legal aid must base themselves with the Al-Quraish to be more productive," he said.
Symbolically, the inauguration of LBHM was marked by the signing by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Dr. M. Busyro Muqoddas, Chairman of Muhammadiyah PP MHH, Trisno Rahardjo, UMM Rctor, Dr. Fauzan, and Emha Ainun Najib (Cak Nun).
The Chairman of Law and Human Rights Council PP Muhammadiyah explained, Dr. Trisno Raharjo, S.H., M.Hum. that the LBHM Initiation had actually been started since MHH PP Muhammadiyah National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in Yogyakarta in 2015.
"The desire to establish LBHM is based on the phenomenon of democratic development in Indonesia which shows that there are still people who need support and a touch of advocacy in the legal field," he said.
According to him, so far, the advocacy that has been carried out by Muhammadiyah Institutions is limited to the realm of empowerment. However, it has not touched advocacy in the legal sphere. In fact, he continued, advocacy also needs to touch and support from legal professionals.
"I hope that all parties in the internal organization can coordinate and work together to carry out advocacy activities in the legal field because we need advocacy which is primarily concerned with legal issues, especially Muhammadiyah," he said.
Besides Emha Ainun Najib, there was also a speaker from Faculty of Law Academics UII, Dr. Suparman Marzuki, S.H., M.H .; Advocates and Human Rights Activists, Dr. Bambang Widjojanto, S.H., M.H., Amnesty International Indonesia's Communication and Advocacy Division, Haeril Halim.
